Chasing light and shadows in Mexico City's historic downtown area. A lot has changed since I first came to know this area. I worked here for five years. Though I don't commute into the area everyday as I did then, much of my photography is executed in this very exciting niche of this vast urban space.
Born and raised in New York State. Luis Arcadio De Jesus has been residing in Mexico City as of the year 2000. His interest in photography began at an early age, but did not begin to take root until his teens. In 2006 Luis began to take his photography more seriously. His work has been utilized in a variety of media by the likes of Discovery, Random House, Oxford University Press, The New Yorker Magazine, The University of Indiana, to name a few. Most of his work is focused on his experiences in Mexico and his travels back to his native home of the United States.
